Synopsis
The local Police Constable for a small Vermont parish is called to a hospital concerning a John Doe that stumbled out of the nearby National Forest with fatal injuries he does not succumb to. Between states of quiet catatonia and thrashing outbursts, the Constable and his Doctor question him about who he is and what happened to him in the forest. His tale of how he ended up deep in those dark woods and the nameless apocryphal things that pursued him has doubt in their eyes. Is his tale just a psychotic delusion hiding an even more sinister reality, or is it related to the screams of the dying patients in the hospital who should have passed on, but do
